Our Purpose:

King’s Kids Academy and Collegiate Prep (KKACP) is a Christ-centered, community-rooted educational organization founded on the life, teachings, and lordship of Jesus Christ. Guided by a commitment to reflect His love, truth, and purpose, KKACP is launching a high-quality Birth–5 early childhood education program in Aurora, Colorado. KKACP is designed to serve as the entry point to a long-term Birth–12 collegiate preparatory continuum that prepares students not only for college, leadership, and service, but to live lives that honor Christ and positively impact their communities—growing “in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man” (Luke 2:52).

Our Priority:
KKACP prioritizes equity and access as an expression of Christ’s call to serve “the least of these” (Matthew 25:40). The program is committed to serving families from under-resourced communities by accepting CCCAP, offering sliding-scale tuition, and providing scholarships to reduce barriers to high-quality early learning. KKACP also invests deeply in early childhood workforce quality, recognizing educators as both skilled professionals and faithful stewards entrusted with nurturing the hearts, minds, and futures of young children.

Our Curriculum:

KKACP implements The Creative Curriculum® by Teaching Strategies as its primary curriculum for children from birth through age five. This comprehensive, research-based curriculum is delivered through a Christ-centered lens, affirming that each child is created in the image of God and is “fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:14), endowed with unique gifts and purpose. It establishes strong foundations in social-emotional development, language and literacy, cognition, executive functioning, and early academic skills through purposeful play and relationship-based learning environments that reflect care, consistency, and Christ-like love.

Executive functioning development is intentionally embedded throughout daily instruction, alongside the cultivation of Christ-like character. Through guided exploration, structured routines, problem-solving activities, and collaborative play, children strengthen critical self-regulation skills including working memory, cognitive flexibility, attention control, planning, and task persistence. Teachers model and scaffold both practical and spiritual habits—such as goal-setting, turn-taking, emotional regulation, and reflective thinking—while nurturing the fruit of the Spirit, including “love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control” (Galatians 5:22–23). These practices help children learn to manage impulses, adapt to new situations, an

Together, these four pillars form an integrated and mutually reinforcing model that nurtures children academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually while honoring families as essential partners in the learning journey. By aligning Christ-centered formation, research-informed instructional practices, whole-family support, and an HBCU-inspired collegiate preparatory vision, KKACP ensures that early childhood education is not an isolated experience, but the foundation of a coherent pathway toward lifelong learning, leadership, and service. Through this intentional design, KKACP is positioned to close opportunity gaps early, strengthen families, and cultivate confident, capable learners prepared to thrive from birth through graduation.
